World Bosses take 50% less damage from you.
World Bosses deal 50% less damage to you.
Every form of autocasts and autospells from ITEMS are disabled on the World Boss map.

About

World Bosses are special monster's that have certain immunities and properties.

There is no limitation as to how many rewards will be sent.
The rewards will be sent to your inventory.

You have to be online for it to be sent to your inventory.


There is no level requirement / stat requirement / gear requirement or any other requirement to fight a world boss.
You do not need a party or a guild.
You will not get multiple rewards for multiple accounts used. Only the highest ranking character of yours will be rewarded.

A World Bosses spawns after 300.000 (Helheim) or 150,000 (Niflheim) realm-wide kills (from both maps and instances) have been reached and a 12 hour cooldown has passed.
There is also added automatic spawn of the World Boss that happens three times per week, these require no special killing count.

You can check the status in @go 0.
A new World Boss will only spawn after the old one has been killed and the requirements above have been reached.

Ranking System Rewards

World Bosses themselves drop no items and give no EXP. However upon death a feature will handle the distribution of items.
Which items you get is based on your end rank.
Ranks are calculated by the amount of damage you've dealt.
Basically every World Boss has the same basic drops except for the World Boss Box comes in 8 different varieties.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

I have no good equipment and I'm not maximum level, can I still fight the World Boss?
You can fight the World Boss just as good as any other high level.
World Bosses have no Flee and any damage you do counts towards your rank, and any damage is rewarded.

Players are killing me during a PvP World Boss, how can I make them stop?
Select PvP disabled in the menu when entering.

I'm a Priest and I heal a lot of people there, does that make me eligible for a reward?
No, you have to melee the boss or cast holy light on the World Boss once and then check with @rank if you've successfully damaged it.

Not all of my skills are working against the World Boss, why is that?
There are 5 different kinds of World Bosses. Some are immune to magic / physical / ranged / etc.
You can check the World Boss list what element they are and what you can use to damage them.

Fighting

You can fight a world boss in a special map.
There is an NPC in @go 0 that allows you to teleport to the map once the world boss is active.
The chat of this NPC will indicate whether or not the World Boss is active or not.

Any damage done to the World Boss is recorded and will stay recorded even if you log out.

If the World Boss is a PvP World Boss the NPC will offer you 2 choices.
A: Enter PvP with PvP enabled.
[ Everything is normal ]

B: Enter PvP with PvP disabled.
If you are not flagged for PvP, your damage to the World Boss is reduced by 80% and you will have a green aura during this time to indicate that you are flagged.
